RUBBLE

King's project before the Butthole Surfers reunion was an absolutely amazing space jam band called Rubble. Aside from "Grey Baby", released on a compilation on Emporor Jones Records (it was released, right?), none of these tracks were ever released, other than as MP3's.

Some of these were available from the band's own webpage, and some from their MYSPACE page. Since most of these tracks have been taken down, and now that MYSPACE doesn't allow downloads, yer not able to get these anymore...unless ya grab it from here!...

Musically, RUBBLE combines many different elements, from Velvet Underground's sheets of tribal noise to Hawkwind's spacey jams, to Monster Magnet's early experiements with effects...there's even a quaint, almost Ween-esque song in "Marquee Banner".

I was thrilled when i first heard RUBBLE. They have little commercial appeal, but deliver where it counts most..in the earhole!...

Now that the RUBBLE LP has finally seen a proper release, and none of these songs are on it, here's yer chance to grab these gems

ENJOY!...

  2. I remember hearing some of these a long time ago. So thanks.
What was that other band, Carny? Pauls band? That seemed wacked out, but maybe it was Rubble!?!?
