Butthole Surfers - Glen Miller Ballroom, Denver, CO Halloween, 1988

I received a request for this one, as it obviously was a cathartic experience fer the person in question.

There's nothing that sticks out here, a fairly standard setlist, though "Paranoid" and "Edgar" seem to trade spots from where they were performed at most of the gigs on this tour...A solid set and performance, as most of the Fall 1988 was...

Still, for those of us who have witnessed the band and had our own religious experiences, we can empathize with the need to have a recording of it, and though not the strongest recording from this tour, it has not circulated much and maybe one of the rarer ones..I offer it up to you all free of charge!...

You should always do the same. And please, when doing so, keep it in flac format...this will allow the recipient to pass it along losslessly with no deterioration of sound quality!

Red Hot Chili Peppers and Warlock Pinchers opened this show...remember the days when RHCP would open for Butthole Surfers?...:

  3. I don't remember seeing the RHCPs, but it was a fantastic concert. My ears are still ringing as a result. I'll always remember where I developed my tinnitus.

  4. This was towards the end of the two drummer season. The dancer came out in a costume and stripped to nothing. Security stopped the concert and escorted her off stage. They had two 16 mm film projectors running for the entirety. Is this recording up anywhere today (the link above is broken). The Warlock Pinchers opened. When the Surfers returned (with one drummer) - Mary's Danish was supposed to open but couldn't make it. The Pinchers joined them again. That show was at Mammoth in Denver.
